Established as an independent company in year 1986 from the mother
unit choice canning company (established in 1958)
The company has its own plant at cochin with the best layout, houses
state of the art plate freezers, blast freezers automatic washing come
grading machines. Flake ice machine set up in a most hygienic way.
Production and storage capacity
Plate freezers - 13 m. tons/day
Blast freezers - 11 m. tons/day
IQF & Cooking Line – 16 m. tons/day (Installation within 2 months)
Cold freezers - 150 m. tons
The company is registered as an exporter by MPEDA, HACCP guidelines is
implemented in all of processing. Inspection council Govt of India has
approved the company as an EU approved plant.
What we intend is complete satisfaction from the buyers and consumers
regarding the quality of our products. a single person does not achieve
this. In Costa Marine team works starts from the landing center to the
shipment, making our goal a great success. A multi-layer system of
screening from purchase to packing and continues monitoring makes our
quality best in the overseas markets.
The factory has a well equipped laboratory with the facilities with the
facilities for carrying out bacteriological analysis such as TPC, ecoli,
salmonella, vibrio cholerae, vibrio parahaemoly ticus, staphylococcus
aureus and M.P.N tests as the routine tests.

Costa Marine employees a team of skilled and motivated work force
trained in various disciplines in its factory and offices regular
training, both in house and by external professional agencies is
conducted in technical and non technical areas including quality control
processing skills, motivation, leadership skills etc. the factory
follows haccp guidelines and strict control is maintained at all stages
Our raw material comes from unpolluted waters at the time of arrival,
they are checked organoleptically for its acceptance factors analyzed
are colour, odour texture, general appearance and temperature of the
material samples are also taken for microbiological analysis. The
condition of the vehicles is also monitored.
The accepted raw material is washed in potable water prior to
pre-processing. the pre-processing hall is air-conditioned. this helps
to maintain the temperature of the product within the limit, which in
turn prevents the multiplication of unsafe micro organisms.
pre-processed materials are graded, weighed and filled in pansol trays
and moved to processing hall.
At the processing hall the material is loaded into freezers and frozen
at -40 degress. all the pre-processing and processing activities are
done by skilled labour force, which ensures consistency and uniformity
to our products.
Sound and secure potable water is used for all processing operations and
at most care is taken in personnel hygiene of all employees engaged in
