Mersey Point Fish  Products Ltd. is a family owned company. Established in 1981 by Anne and Cornelis Mutsaers, it is now operated by Robert and Pamela Mutsaers. In 2006 the company moved to a state of the art, modern processing plant in Port Mouton on the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

1. Smoked products - Smoked Mackerel, Smoked Herring, Smoked Haddock, Smoked Salmon and Smoked Trout.Our smoked products are manufactured with top quality raw materials from the cold Atlantic Ocean. The smoking process is completely natural and no dyes or preservatives are used. All smoked products are prepared according to Old World recipes. The products are available in bulk cardboard box and or vacuum pack.
2.Marinated products include the ever-popular Nova Scotian Solomon Gundy, Herring Tidbits, Herring in Wine Sauce, Bismarck Herring and Rollmops. All our marinated products are made with natural preservatives. No chemical shelf life extenders are used. We guarantee a shelf life of 4 months under refrigerated conditions. These products come in both retail and food service packaging.
3.In the 90’s the company started production of Maatjesherring.  New to North America, this form of salted herring is widely consumed in Europe and ethnically in North America.  This product has a very high Omega 3 content.  No preservatives are used. The Maatjesherring is available in ready to serve vacuum packs or packed in 5kg pails.
