ABOUT OUR COMPANY
Aquaculture Systems Technologies, LLC is the exclusive manufacturer
of the Propeller Washed Bead Filters, addtionally we also manfuacture
Bubble Washed and the PolyGeyser Bead Filters. These filters utilize
floating plastic beads in an upflow configuration to provide
simultaneous mechanical and biolgocial filtration. The beads provide
400 sqft/cuft of surface area for the attachment of nitrifying
bacterial. Furthermore the capture 100% of particles 50 mircons and
larger per pass and 45% or particles in the 5 to 10 micron range per
pass. Bead filters are immune to biofouling, never require replacement
of the bead media, have minimal water loss during backwashing and low
pump head requirements which results in energy saving. AST has been
manufacturing and selling Bead Filter Technologies for 15 years and has
hundreds of installation worldwide.
